But they will also add that their responsibly is to their viewers and to society at large and not to the individual or group affected by the News and information that they broadcast. Many of the News Channels do behave responsibly, but some of them do not. Most News Channels have Reporters who do the reporting on incidents and provide the verified information for the News Channels. News Channels also receive News and information from the general public, and Government Departments. The Responsible News Channels will always verify the information before broadcasting.

But some News Channels are just not concerned with the implications of what they broadcast or the effect it will have on the viewers, or a particular group, or society at large. They may have a few reporters who cover the reporting on incidents and they may/may not verify the information for correctness. These News Channels like all others also receive News and information from the General public and Government Departments, but fail to verify the truthfulness or correctness of the information and just broadcast it.

Some News Channels also lean towards political parties and their News coverage is biased towards that particular political party in a positive way. All News about their favorite political party is presented in a favorable way. Some of these News Channels also sensationalize and prioritize news like Riots, Floods, Suicides, Murders, shootings, robberies, Police excesses, political issues, and other incidents to gain mileage over competing News Channels. The impact of this type of News Reporting and broadcasting in some cases is bad and has a negative on the public, especially children. But some of this news does inform the viewer of the hard facts of life in the country and society, including the political and law and order situation.
